Dog Travel Gear

Dog Travel Gear

I love traveling with Milo – he has gone on long car rides, weekend camping trips, and even flown a few times!

But of course, like any doggie parent knows, it pays to be prepared. Here are some must have travel items to ensure you pup’s travel itinerary goes as smoothly as possible!

Collapsible Food & Water Bowls

Doggie travel bowls are something I always take with me when Milo leaves the house – they take up almost no space, are super affordable, and hook on to the zipper of my backpack.

Just pop them out and fill them with your dog’s food and water – no more having to ask for a doggie bowl at restaurants or putting their food on a paper plate when you travel!

Doggie Calming Aid

Milo used to be super nervous when flying – he would shake and cry, trying to jump in my lap instead of laying down!

So my vet recommended giving him a doggie calming aid to help him relax – and it worked! On the back of the container it tells you how much to give your dog per their weight so you don’t have to guess, but always make sure to check with your vet before giving your dog any supplements.

Car sear protector

Since I take Milo on car rides pretty often, I always have this car seat protector covering my back seat. And I leave it on when the kids are in the car too – just in case of any surprise messes!

I love how easy it is to put on, and I just pop it in the washing machine whenever it needs cleaning. Plus it’s one size fits all so if we’re traveling in a different car I can still take it with me!

Waterproof Doggie Mat

If your pup is anything like Milo, he loves to lay out in the sun – so I always have a waterproof doggie mat for him to lay on!

When we travel, I simply roll it up, put it in the bag, and take it with me! It gives him a comfy place to lay down on when he can’t have his whole dog bed on a trip.

Plus, when we return home, I just throw it in the wash and it’s good as new!

Comfy Doggie carrier

If you have a small pup then you’ll likely need a doggie carrier for traveling.

This one has a removable mat to put inside which provides extra comfort for your dog, and is washable for after your trip!

It even comes with a collapsible doggie bowl and a way to attach it to the handle of your carry on luggage!

Dog travel bag

If you plan on bringing a bunch of accessories for your pup, then a dog travel bag is a great investment for your trip!

Not only does it come with tons of compartments to keep everything organized, but it has 2 collapsible bowls, and 2 food storage containers also!

Plus it’s leak proof and water repellant!
